Rank You Higher is a digital marketing agency in Madurai. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you visit rankyouhigher.in, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We have tried to keep it short and free of legal jargon. If anything here is unclear, just ask us and we will explain it.
The short version
- We never sell your information to anyone.
- We only contact you about the enquiry you sent us.
- We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used.
- You can accept or reject those cookies, and change your mind at any time.
1. What information we collect
There are two kinds: what you type in yourself, and what is collected automatically.
Information you give us
When you fill in our contact form, use the WhatsApp enquiry button, email us or call us, we collect what you choose to send. That usually means:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your business name or website address
- The service you are interested in
- Anything you write in the message box
You decide how much to share. Only your name and phone number are needed so we can reply. If you use the WhatsApp button, your message is sent through WhatsApp, so WhatsApp also handles it under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
If you accept cookies, two tools help us understand how the site is used. Neither is used to identify you personally, and we never try to work out who an individual visitor is.
- Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly which town or city they are in, and whether they found us through Google, social media or a direct link.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how people move through a page, where they click and where they get stuck. It records the page and the mouse movement, not you.
Our web server also keeps standard security logs, including the IP address of requests. These are used to keep the site online and to block attacks, not to track visitors.
2. Cookies we use
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We keep the list short. Apart from the first one, none of these are set unless you accept them.

We also store one small item in your browser called wa-prompt-seen. It is not a cookie and it is not sent to us. It only stops the WhatsApp message reappearing every time you open a new page, and it is cleared when you close your browser.
3. Your choices about cookies
If you are visiting from the UK, Switzerland or a country in the European Economic Area, nothing that needs consent is switched on until you say yes. You will see a banner asking you to accept or reject, and rejecting is a single click, exactly like accepting.
Wherever you are visiting from, you can change your choice at any time using the link below. You can also delete or block cookies in your own browser settings — the site will keep working normally either way.

4. How we use your information
We use what we collect for a small number of things:
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote or an audit
- To carry out the work you have hired us to do
- To send you reports about your own campaign, if you are a client
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site
- To keep the website secure and working properly
We do not sell your information. We do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in a contact form. We do not send bulk promotional messages to people who only asked a question.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run the site and the business, and only as much as they need:
- Google — for Analytics, and for advertising measurement if you arrived from an ad. Google privacy policy
- Microsoft — for Clarity. Microsoft privacy statement
- WhatsApp — only if you choose to message us there. WhatsApp privacy policy
- Our hosting provider — which stores the website and its security logs.
We may also share information if the law requires it. Otherwise, your details stay with us.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries — kept for up to 2 years, so we can look back at what we discussed if you get in touch again.
- Client records — kept for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Analytics data — kept by Google and Microsoft under their own retention settings, up to 14 months.
- Your cookie choice — 180 days, then we ask again.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you, and we will. Email us and we will action it within 30 days. We will not charge you for this.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the right to object to how we use your information, to ask for a copy of it in a portable format, and to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act gives you similar rights, including the right to nominate someone to act for you.
8. How we protect your information
The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to enquiry details is limited to the people at Rank You Higher who need it to do the work. We keep our systems updated. No website can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and we do not keep information we do not need.
9. Children's privacy
This site is meant for business owners and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we add a new tool or change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will make it obvious rather than quietly editing the text.
