The Alagendran Group has traded in Madurai since the 1960s — car and bike spares, Yamaha sales and service, and a spinning mill. We built the group's hub website, a searchable Toyota spare parts catalogue and a Yamaha service site, each with one job, all linked together.

Hub live on new server

Seven businesses were hiding behind one name

A customer looking for a Toyota clutch plate, a Yamaha service slot or the group's head office phone number should not have to guess which of seven businesses to call — or find an old page that no longer matches how the group is organised.

Each audience wants something different. Parts buyers want to check a part exists and ask the price. Bike owners want the nearest branch and a booking. Suppliers and job seekers want to know who the group is.

So instead of one overloaded site, we planned an ecosystem: a hub that introduces the group and routes people to the right desk, plus focused sites for the two busiest customer journeys.

Three journeys, three sites

  1. Hub · alagendran.com

Introduce the group, route to the right desk

The hub leads with the family's history and the seven businesses, then gives each division its own page — automobiles, Toyota spares, Yamaha showroom and service, two-wheeler parts and the spinning mill.

  2. Catalogue · alagendrantoyota.com

Find the part by car model

Buyers start from their vehicle — Innova, Crysta, Fortuner, Etios and more. Each model page filters every matching part by category, with photos and part numbers.

  3. Catalogue · category

Price on WhatsApp, not a checkout

Spare part prices change and fitment needs a human check, so every product has a "WhatsApp for Price" button that sends the exact part name and number to the counter.

  4. Service · alagendranyamahaservice.com

Book a Yamaha service at the nearest branch

The service site gives Arapalayam and Kochadai their own pages, phone numbers and directions, with separate pages for free service, paid service, quick jobs, accident work and FI diagnostics.

What the ecosystem includes

Each site is simple on its own. The value is in how they connect.

161 product pages

Every Toyota part has its own indexable page, organised into 15 categories and 8 vehicle models.

Search & structured data

Site search with SearchAction schema and AutoPartsStore data on the catalogue, so Google can show a search box and store details.

Editable catalogue

Staff add parts, photos and blog posts from an admin panel. Uploaded images are converted to WebP with SEO-friendly file names automatically.

Branch pages

Arapalayam and Kochadai Yamaha service branches each have their own page, phone number and map directions.

Complete legal pages

Terms, privacy, payments, shipping, returns, refunds, cancellation and warranty policies on the hub — required for payment gateways and marketplace listings.

Zero-downtime move

The hub moved to a new server and domain setup with no downtime and no lost email — documented in its own case study.

Why three sites and not one

The structure was the most important decision in the whole project.

01Split by customer job, not by company chart

The risk

One site covering spares, sales, service and a spinning mill would rank for nothing specific and confuse every visitor.

What we did

The hub handles "who is Alagendran" and routing. The parts catalogue and the service site each handle one high-intent job and can rank for it.

02WhatsApp enquiries instead of online checkout

The risk

Spare parts need fitment checks and prices move often; a cart would show wrong prices or sell the wrong part.

What we did

Every product sends a pre-filled WhatsApp enquiry with the part name and number, so the counter confirms fitment and price in one reply.

03Keep figures honest, even on the client's own site

The risk

A "30,000+ parts" figure had been copied onto two divisions, but only one of them actually carried that range.

What we did

During the pre-launch review we kept the figure on Alagendran Automobiles only and led the other division on what it genuinely sells.

Takeaways for multi-business groups

A hub is a switchboard

Its job is to send each visitor to the right business quickly — not to hold every detail itself.

Catalogues rank on depth

One page per part and per vehicle model gives Google hundreds of precise answers to match.

Moves need a plan

Changing server, DNS and email together is safe only with lowered TTLs and a tested parallel setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Three connected sites: alagendran.com, the group hub for its seven businesses; alagendrantoyota.com, a Toyota spare parts catalogue with 161 product pages; and alagendranyamahaservice.com, the Yamaha service site for the Arapalayam and Kochadai branches.

Use one hub for the group's story and contacts, and separate sites only where a business has its own high-intent customer journey — like buying parts or booking a service. That keeps each site focused enough to rank.

Because parts need a fitment check and prices change. A WhatsApp enquiry with the exact part name and number lets the counter confirm the right part and current price quickly.

As of September 2026 its sitemap lists 195 URLs: 161 product pages, 15 category pages, 8 vehicle-model pages, 8 blog posts, and the home, about and contact pages.

Yes. The hub moved to a new server and a new DNS provider while its Zoho mailbox kept working, with zero downtime and no missed emails. The full story is in our Alagendran migration case study.

Yes. We build dealership, spare parts catalogue and service-booking websites, along with local SEO and Google Business Profile management for automobile businesses.

How we checked what is on this page

  • Page counts come from each live site's sitemap on 14 September 2026; screenshots were captured from the live sites the same day.
  • Business history and the number of group companies are the client's own published details.
  • No traffic or sales figures are claimed on this page. Migration outcomes are covered, with their own evidence, in the separate migration case study.
